The Robbery – De Overval

I remember when Mark told us about the idea for his film for the first time. We were laughing a lot. The absurdity of the whole situation goes off scale, emphasizing the specific character and conservatism of the inhabitants of the Kempen villages in Flanders, the place where Mark grew up.

Also, the movie points out the time spirit during the pandemic situation, which now seems to have passed by like a flash and hopefully gone forever.

I participated in the project as a director of photography and edited the film with Mark. Many thanks to all participants and especially to Francis Vanhoutte, our teacher, for his guidance on the set.
